OBITUARIES

BENARD BANKS, 65, of Memphis, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 18 at N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He leaves three sisters, Patricia Banks Jones of Memphis and Betty Banks Jones of Richmond, CA, and Gussie Mae Braxton of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Edwin C. Banks and Charlie Banks, both of Memphis; a niece, Cheryl Jones Harris of Oakland, CA; two nephews, Emmitt Benard Jones and Eric T. Jones, both of Richmond, CA; Rosetta T.
