BRENDA LYNN BROOKS, 57, of Memphis, employee of Kellogg’s and alumnus of
Booker T. Washington High School, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at
Methodist Hospital Germantown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July
22, from 5-7 p.m. at Harrison’s Funeral Home Chapel, 2647 Carnes Avenue.
She will lie in state on Wednesday, July 23, from 11-11:55 a.m. at
Christ Missionary Baptist Church 494 So. Parkway East where she was a
member with Funeral Ceremony at 12 Noon. Interment will follow Memorial
Park Southwoods, 5485 Hacks Cross Rd. She leaves to cherish her memory
her three brothers, Lloyd Brooks, Isiah “Ike” Brooks and Christopher
(Nekevia) Brooks all of Memphis, TN, two nieces, Sharhonda Michelle
Brooks and Mykeisha Jones, four nephews, Jason Lloyd Brooks, Aaron
Elliot Brooks, Jeffery Robinson, and Quartavius Jones, one grandniece,
Sharice Monae Nelson, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Annie Mae Brooks and her
