CARLOTTA MOORE STEWART
WATSON, 106, retired teacher and counselor for Booker T. Washington High
School in Memphis City Schools, founder of Alpha Eta Zeta Chapter, Zeta
Phi Sorority, Inc., one of the oldest residents of the Orange Mound
Community and radio talk show host (WDIA - "Aunt Carrie"), died on
Thursday, June 14, 2007 at her residence. Visitation will be held on
Friday, June 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Harrison's Funeral Home Chapel, 2647
Carnes Ave. She will lie in state on Saturday, June 23 from 10-10:55
a.m. at Mt. Pisgah C.M.E Church. 2490 Park Avenue where she was a member
with Funeral Ceremony at 11 am. with Bishop E. Lynn Brown officiating.
Interment to follow in Historic Elmwood Cemetery, 824 So. Dudley. She
leaves to cherish her memory, her two first cousins, Beatrice Taylor of
Rockford, IL and Elizabeth Taylor of Indianapolis, IN; three
god-daughters, Mae Ola Mebane, Jeanette Wilson and Della Wright and a
host of local cousins, sorors and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials
