CHARLIE J. BURSE, JR., 84, died June 3, 2008. He
was an orderly for 30 years at Memphis Veterans Medical Center, retiring
in 1981. Charlie was a graduate of Booker T. Washington Class of '42, a
World War II veteran, and a graduate of Henderson Business College.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, June 6 at M. J. Edwards Stage
Road Chapel, 4445 Stage Road. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7
at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668
Poplar Ave. He leaves his wife, Nancy E. Burse; daughter, Cynthia D.
Brandon (John), sons, Perdido R. Burse, Charles A. Burse (Loraine) of
Birmingham, AL and Charlie J. Burse III; sister, Connie King of Toledo,
OH; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. M. J. Edwards
