DEBORAH ANN DAVIS, 57, of Memphis, Founder and
Directress of the Gospel Family and Band Director of Booker T Washington
High School, passed November 1, 2008 at Methodist South Hospital.
Visitation will be Friday from3-4 p.m. at R. S. Lewis Funeral Home on
Vance Avenue and 5-7 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Westwood. A
memorial musical celebration will follow. Funeral services will be
Saturday, November 8 at 12 Noon at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Burial
will be in Forest Hill Cemetery South on Holmes Road. She leaves her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alphonzo and Ruth Davis; brothers, Alphonzo Davis,
Jr. (Gwenette) and Rev. Anthony Davis, Sr; sisters, Anita Louis, Lafern
Young (Ricky), Eva Thurman, Ptosha Murrell (Carnell), and a step-sister,
Helen Joyce McGhee, of Chicago. IL.
