Diane Evans, 1964 

Diane Evans Hurd-Muirhead, 58, of Detroit, formerly of Memphis, counselor for Detroit City Schools, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Providence Hospital in Detroit. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Plymouth United Church of Christ with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Friends of Africa and African American Arts. She leaves a son, Corey Preston Hurd of Detroit; her mother, Bernice Davis of Memphis; four sisters, Loretta Evans Johnson of Warrenville, Ill., Reva Mitchell of Warren, Ohio, Erma Amdatent of Niles, Ohio, and Lisa Davis-Oglesby of Missouri City, Texas, and a brother, Kenneth Davis of Houston, Texas.
