OBITUARIES

 

 

GEORGE WATSON, JR., was born December 24, 1946 to George and Edith Bell Love Watson in Marks, Mississippi. He departed his earthly vessel on December 18, 2009 at the Methodist University Hospital. He accepted the Lord into his life and was baptized into the Church of Christ on Vance Avenue in the year of 1978. He was a ‘1965 Graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He served in the U. S. Navy until he retired. He is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He also recently retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Memphis, TN. He is survived by his three sons who he cherished: Maurio Jemil Watson, Timotheus George Watson, and Mark Urex Watson. He leaves two very special, caring and dear cousins whom he loved as they loved him unconditionally: Lillian Washington, Camilla Bermudeg. He leaves cousins with whom he grew up: Willie B. Love, Shirley Love, Patricia Love, Andrew Love of Memphis, TN; and Eddie Love of Cincinnati, OH. He leaves a host of friends, relatives, and co-workers. Visitation will be Monday, December 21, 4-7pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 22, at 12 pm at M J Edwards Funeral Home with interment following at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
