OBITUARIES

MRS. HERMER JEAN JONES, 62, of Memphis, passed away August 3, 2007 in Dickson, TN. She was a former school teacher for the Memphis City Schools and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board. Visitation will be from 4-6:30 p.m. Friday, August 10 at N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 2124 East Holmes Rd. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Woods Cemetery. She leaves two sons, Melvin Charles Jones, Jr. of Long Beach, CA and Eric G. Jones of Memphis; a daughter, Christy M. Carter (Marvin) of Nashville; mother, Beulah J. Isabel of Memphis; two brothers, Donald R. Hayes (Darrene) of Atlanta, GA and Johnny E. Hayes (Rena) of Memphis; three grandchildren, Kiana, Kobe and Erick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and pets. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home 901-948-7755
