OBITUARIES

 

 

JESSE J. “Bo” LAMBERT, 72, of Memphis, died May 15, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital. A 1957 graduate of Booker T, Washington High School, who served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Deacon of Parkway Gardens United Presbyterian Church, member of the Northeast Shelby County Community Action Organization and Independent Pallbearers Society #6 Brunswick, TN. Formerly employed as a Job Developer with Memphis OIC and Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Mr. Lambert was the owner of Classic Images, Lambert Memorials, Inc. (Commercial Bronze and Granite), 2 locations, Bartlett, TN and Brownsville, TN, owner of the only Black owned Perpetual Care Cemetery in Memphis and Shelby County, Galilee Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Friday, May 21, and from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 noon, Saturday, May 22, all at Parkway Gardens United Presbyterian Church, 1005 E. Shelby Dr. Burial will be in Galilee Memorial Gardens. He leaves his devoted wife, Mary Helen Hargrow Lambert; one son, JeMar Lambert; two daughters, MarJe’ EvaIda Lambert and Jima Luellen; brothers, Sgt. Major William (Carolyn) Lambert of Bowie, MD, Master Sgt. Robert Lambert, Sr. of Athens, Greece and Dr. F. Oliver Hardy, brother-in-law of Memphis; sisters, Donna Lambert (James) Brown and Rhonda Lambert (Dwight) Treadwell, all of Memphis,TN; grandchildren, Karlyn Lambert, Kenndi Lambert, Kaitlyn Lambert and Angelica Bonner; and two great-grandchildren, Madisyn Bonner, Makiya Bonner; aunts, Ruth Elizabeth Lambert Hill of Brownsville, TN, Opal Lambert Franklin of Whitesville, TN; one uncle, Otis Lambert of Castaic, CA; nieces and nephews, Judge Loyce Lambert (LaFerre) Ryan of Memphis, Robert Alexis Lambert, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Tandalyn Lambert (Anthony) Burton, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Alicia Kay Lambert of Louisville, KY, Sophia Lambrini Hardy of Memphis and Candice Rosa Rhea (Jerry) Hathaway of Nashville, TN; great-niece, Lauren Charis Ryan of Memphis, TN.
