JoJoLa Deede Sole previously known as David Laney, of Memphis TN passed away at his home on March 24, 2010. He was 56. JoJoLa attended B. T. Washington High School, Fisk University in Nashville TN and Lemoyne College in Memphis. He was an African art distributor, an accomplished musician and a community activist who loved his family, friends and his culture. He will be greatly missed. He leaves his mother, Beatrice J. Laney and his long-time friends, Anzaa Sole and Dave McGowan as well as many sisters and brothers, family and friends. Visitation, Friday, April 3, 4-6 p.m. and Funeral and burial, Saturday, April 4 beginning at 1:30 p.m. both at N.J. Ford and Sons at Florida and S. Parkway West, Memphis.
