OBITUARIES

 

 

JUANITA R. NICKELBERRY, 74, retired employee of the Army Depot and Sears, and former employee of the Commercial Appeal, died February 4, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital. She was a lifelong member of Early Grove Baptist Church, a 1955 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and attended LeMoyne Owen College. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 9 from 4-6:30 p.m. at N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be at 12 noon, Wednesday, February 10 at Early Grove Baptist Church, with burial to follow in New Park Cemetery. She is survived by her loving son, Stanley (Dominique) Nickelberry of Memphis; two sisters, Maxine (James) Garcia and Cleo Ernestine Chander; one brother, Freeman (Gwelyne) Robinson, all of Memphis; five grandchildren, Mia (Marlon) Harris, Ashley Nickelberry, Anthony Hibbler, Kornicky Nickelberry, and Gavin Cash of Chicago; 11 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
