OBITUARIES

 

 

LOUIS S. CLARK (Buddy), age 86, of Memphis, Tennessee expired on August 2, 2010 at 1:50 a.m. at Methodist University Hospital. Mr. Clark was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and went on to major in Elementary Education at LeMoyne-Owen College. Mr. Clark confessed in his hope in Christ and was baptized at an early age, when he attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church of Homes County, Mississippi. He later united with East Trigg Avenue Baptist Church of Memphis, Tennessee and was ordained as a deacon under the leadership of the late Dr. W. Herbert Brewster and continued under Rev. Julius A. Beasley until death. Mr. Clark was enlisted in the U.S. Army for eight years, ranked as Sergeant 1st Class. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Services for 46 years as a carrier, and Guardsmark Security Services for 20 plus years as a Captain at St. Jude Hospital. He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife, Mrs. Alice D. Clark of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Mrs. Mae Ethel Clark-Lacey; one brother, Robert G. Clark, Jr. (Joann); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation today 6-8 p.m. at R. S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 374 Vance Ave. Funeral services Friday, 12 Noon at East Trigg Baptist Church, 1315 Bellevue Blvd. Burial 2:30 in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. R. S.
