MICHAEL HAROLD JOHNSON, 55 husband of Vanessa Dale
Johnson, disabled U. S. Marine Veteran, alumnus of Booker T. Washington
High School and Mississippi Valley State University, auto mechanic
instructor for Kansas Vocational Tech Center and diesel repairman at
Tennessee Technology Center died on Thursday, February 7,2008 at his
residence. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13, from 6-8 p.m.
at Harrison's Funeral Home Chapel, 2647 Carnes Avenue. He will lie in
state on Thursday, February 14, from 10-11:55 a.m. at St. Mark
Missionary Baptist Church, 940 So. Lauderdale with Funeral Ceremony at
12 Noon. Interment with Military Honors will be held on Friday, February
15, at 10 a.m. in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill
Irene Rd. He leaves to cherish his memory, two stepdaughters, Bridgette
Henderson and Ashley Richardson; four brothers, Marshall B. Williams,
Clarence B. (Frances) Johnson, Jr., and Sherman R. (Marcella) Johnson,
all of Memphis, TN and Raymond H. (Malinda) Johnson of Little Rock, AR;
three sisters, Peggy J. Osborne of Stockton, CA, Maxine P. Stewart of
Memphis, TN and Eva C. (James) Stephens of Indianola, MS; three
grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Harrison's
