VIOLA ELIZABETH CROWE GOER, 74, of Memphis, TN was called to her heavenly home Friday, November 25, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Goer was an alumna of BTW class of 1955 and remained active in the BTW Alumni Association. She later attended Lemoyne College. She served others through her work as a nurse for over 40 years at the old John Gaston Hospital later to become The Med. She retired from nursing in 2000. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Frank Goer; daughters, Rhonda Branch of Memphis, Becky Price of Atlanta, GA, and Linda Goer Carr of Los Angeles, CA. She was a devoted grandmother to Tari Price and Zauni Price of Atlanta GA and Lefranc Carr of Los Angeles, CA. She was especially fond of her only great-granddaughter, Jordyn Price of Atlanta and a loving sister, Ellen Peete of Memphis. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tyree and Ella Crowe Sr.; one sister, Bettye Pittman, three brothers, Tyree Crowe, Jr., Roscoe Crowe and Dallas Crowe. Visitation will be 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, at N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 12 South Parkway and from 11 a.m. until service at 12 Noon, Thursday, December 1 at Cummings Street Baptist Church, 250 East Raines Rd. 38109.
