WALTER LEE HUBBARD, JR., M. D., formerly of Memphis, TN passed at his home in Malibu, CA on February 15, 2010. He was the son of Edith Faye Scott Hubbard and Walter Lee Hubbard, Sr., both deceased. He leaves to remember him, his wife, Gladys Sims Hubbard and two children, Lynn Hubbard and Stanley Hubbard, M. D and five grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Edward S. Hubbard (Mamie) and sisters, Mary Hubbard McWilliams, Edith Hubbard Powers, Emma Hubbard Stotts, Elma Hubbard Mardis (William), and Margaret Hubbard Strong. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ella Hubbard Long and one brother, Lonnie Hubbard. Dr. Hubbard was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, LeMoyne College, and Meharry Medical College. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, the National Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
