OBITUARIES

Walter A. Mead age 61 passed June 4, 2009 at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Mr. Mead served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. R. .S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He leaves to cherish his loving memory three sons, Kevin White of Fort Wayne, IN, Tim Smith and Donta Smith, both of Memphis, TN; one sister Ruth A. Pollard of Memphis, TN; one brother Pastor Thomas Mead Jr.; a niece, Millicent Hulbert a care giver who took care of him during his illness; six grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday June 11, 5-7 p.m. at R. .S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service Friday June 12, at 12 noon at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 394 Vance Ave. with Dr. James B.
