Wiley A. Wright was born March 17, 1921 in Memphis, Tennessee to Nellie Alexander and Willie Wright.  He had been very ill for the past two months and departed this life on May 31, 2008 at the Little Company of Mary hospital in Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Wiley received his formal education in Memphis, Tennessee, a graduate of Booker T. Washington high school, class of 1937.

On October 3, 1945, Wiley was united in holy matrimony to Ernestine Anderson. They were happily married for sixty-three years.

Wiley worked in Chicago at the Western Electric company for thirty-nine years.  After retirement, he traveled around the country with the Midwest Bridge Unit of Chicago and played golf in his spare time.

He and his wife joined Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and found greater hope and strength through Christ.

Wiley was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, A. Vernette Wills.  Left to cherish his memory; his wife Ernestine; his brother, Julian (Bettye), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a very special daughter, Kathy Riley (Charles).

Wiley will be remembered for his easy laughter and dapper attire. He was an easy going, fun loving and charming man who will be very sadly missed by many, many friends and relatives
